The last opera of the great composer, lyrical fairy tale of a blind princess living in a beautiful enclosed garden on the king’s estate, secluded from the world. Iolanta has no idea what it means to see, she is not aware what she is missing. But she is becoming anxious and has some vague presentiments and is seeking some sort of way out of her fake and illusory golden cage. After passing a difficult way Iolanta finally finds that true love is enough to make her able to see.
