This new production by Georgiy Isaakyan is telling about the origin of Music in the form that we know it today.

“This opera is equally important both as a piece for exquisite professionals and as an enlightening, educational material, for it tells about things that were forgotten or even unknown: that once upon a time there were neither notes nor musical staff, but the name and life story of a person who invented all of these reached our times – it was a Benedictine monk who lived at the turn of the 10th century, Guido d’Arezzo. Guido Aretinus”, Georgiy Isaakyan tells.

“A man is made up of about 80 percent of water, as well as composers of all eras and nations are made up of 80-90 percent of Guido Aretinus”, says composer.

Theatre is creating this performance in the space of painting workshop, where the scenery for the shows are produced, and even the way to the performance venue – through the backstage and technical areas – becomes for the spectators an unusual experience in itself.

According to the plot of the opera, consisted of seven episodes each of those is based on a particular step of musical scale, performance is made in seven pictures.
