This is the first time when the early music opera composed in 1600 by Emilio De Cavalieri is staged in Russian and on a Russian theatre’s stage.
The period instrumentalists, playing from the stage and mingled in with the choir, musicians and soloists became part of the theatrical performance.
Libretto written by Augustino Manny was translated into Russian by Alexey Parin.
